The Dickson Police Department, DPD Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association, Dickson County Sheriff’s Dept, First Bank, Dickson County Recycling, Dickson County Help Center, the Drug Enforcement Agency, Dickson Apothecary, TriStar Horizon Medical Center and the Drug Free Dickson Coalition are joining hands to bring you another Drug Take Back Event. Dispose of your unused prescription medications that you no longer need. We will be working together with the DEA National Drug Take Back Initiative. Needles will be accepted if they are sealed in a hardened plastic container such as a laundry detergent container. There will be a Shred Truck on site sponsored by your very own First Bank. Bring all of your shreddable papers, old bills, tax records you no longer need and let us shred them for you to help prevent fraud. FOOD DRIVE -- The Dickson County Help Center will have people on site to collect non perishable food. We would like to reach out to you to help us out with this endeavor. We are asking anyone and everyone to bring non perishable food donations to help restock the DC Help Center. We will be recycling plastic, paper, e-scraps, glass and cardboard on site as well. Contact Sharon Webster for info about the HHW @ 615-719-1480. We will be accepting at this event any household hazardous waste you may have. Those awesome Folks will be on hand as well. They only come once per year…this is our day.
