Full Time Guest Service Representative: Job Description

Comfort Inn is searching for a PM Guest Service Representatives in Dickson, TN. This individual will be responsible for attending to the needs of hotel guests, especially during check-in and check-out. This position will be Daytime (7am-3pm) or evening shift (3pm-11pm). This position will also be on call for covering call-outs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Providing information to guests about hotel policies, services and amenities.
  • Responding to requests from guests for assistance during their stay.
  • Provide information about the local area (e.g. directions, places to eat, etc.)
  • Selling rooms to “walk-in” customers.
  • Entering/changing reservation information on the computer system.
  • Posting charges to guest accounts.
  • Processing payments from guests.
  • Making necessary corrections to guest accounts.
  • Informing housekeeping department about room status/availability.
  • Listening for and responding to guest complaints.
  • Cleaning the front desk area.
  • Maintaining daily logs and reports.
  • Balancing shift work and cash drawers.
  • Any other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Be punctual and possess a good attendance record.
  • Flexible and can work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Demonstrate strong guest service orientation and skills.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills.
  • Capable of quickly evaluating alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
